Agree/Disagree OP? The 0-Coast has organic woody tones with the balance closer to the fundamental (bongos, marimbas).
The envelopes have a very nice response for percussive sound. With more of the overtones mixed in, it reminds me of inharmonic FM sounds. It captures that 'west coast' sound at a nice price. I personally liked it better at the mellower settings and didn't like the extremes as much, especially compared to Mannequins or even the STO.
Still it's hard to complain considering the price. Personally I could imagine getting it just for the bongo. Only been in there once, but the guy working was really cool and helpful. Bent over backwards to hook up a used Yamaha CS-5 and a Meeblip Anode for me to play around with.
Didn't end up buying either, but I make it a point to check out their used listings pretty regularly, and once I take the plunge into Eurorack, I'll be ordering some things from them, for sure. Plus where I live in RI, there's nothing like that. It was awesome to just hang out in a shop surrounded by synths, and actually be able to talk to another person about oscillators, envelopes and filters without their eyes glazing over.
